    On World Press Free­dom Day, the Belaru­sian Asso­ci­a­tion of Jour­nal­ists and the Lithuan­ian Union of Jour­nal­ists held a sym­bol­ic action for the release of Belaru­sian polit­i­cal pris­on­ers of the media. The sol­i­dar­i­ty action took place in Luk­iškės Prison in Vil­nius.

    Tatsiana Pytsko fined for distributing “extremist materials”

    On April 9, the Vit­seb­sk Dis­trict Court imposed a fine of $305 on Tat­siana Pyt­sko, who had pre­vi­ous­ly been con­vict­ed over coop­er­a­tion with an “extrem­ist for­ma­tion”. The Vit­seb­sk police scanned her social media pages and found posts con­tain­ing the logos of two Inter­net resources includ­ed in the Repub­li­can List of Extrem­ist Mate­ri­als.
